Privacy Policy

1. Data Storage

All your journal entries, trading data, and personal information are stored locally on your device. We do not collect, transmit, or store your data on external servers.

2. No Account Required

The app does not require registration or authentication. All data remains private and under your full control.

3. Analytics and Tracking

NorByte does not use any analytics, tracking, or advertising services that collect user data.

4. Data Sent to OpenRouter AI

To generate analytics and summaries, NorByte uses OpenRouter AI. All data sent is automatically sanitized before transmission, and no personally identifiable information (PII) is included.

4.1 Note Extraction (extractFromNote)

Trading notes are redacted to remove sensitive info before sending:

Stock tickers → [TICKER]
Email addresses → [EMAIL]
Phone numbers → [PHONE]
Account numbers (6+ digits) → [ACCOUNT]
SSN patterns → [SSN]
Credit card numbers → [CARD]

4.2 Weekly Summary (generateWeeklySummary)

Only aggregated statistics are processed (win rate, total P/L, number of trades). No personal identifiers are transmitted.

4.3 Trading Analysis (generateTradingAnalysis)

Aggregated, non-personal data may include:

• Period (weekly/monthly)
• Total P/L amount
• Win rate percentage
• Number of entries
• Top tags, emotions, and mistakes (with average P/L)
• Performance metrics (avg win/loss, drawdowns, streaks)
• Sanitized excerpts of recent notes
• Tags and summary statistics

4.4 Note Generation (generateNoteContent)

Uses only date, P/L amount, and tag data. No personal text is shared.

5. Privacy Protection Summary

NorByte’s AI features are privacy-first. Sensitive data is redacted automatically before any transmission. No raw text, identifiers, or account data leave your device. OpenRouter does not store or retain your data.

6. Data Security

Your data security depends on your device. We recommend enabling biometric authentication or a device passcode.

7. Data Deletion

You can delete all data at any time through the app’s “Clear All Data” option. Deleted data cannot be recovered.
